Julian Restrepo is a Miami-based creative director and designer whose work sits at the intersection of fashion, branding, and visual systems.
He began studying design in 2018, developing his foundation through formal education while simultaneously taking on real-world projects. This dual path—learning and executing in parallel—shaped a practice rooted in both concept and function. His academic background includes studies at Parsons The New School (Fashion Creative Certificate), The Art Institute (Fashion Design and Graphic Design), and Miami Dade College (Fashion Design and Business Administration).
In 2019, Julian launched his own fashion brand as a living laboratory—an environment to study sourcing, materials, market behavior, and consumer psychology firsthand. Over multiple iterations, the brand became a vehicle for testing creative direction, refining vision, and understanding the realities of building a fashion house from the ground up. This process ultimately led to the development of a focused, Miami-based luxury fashion house grounded in identity, restraint, and cultural context.
Since 2022, Julian has worked professionally across large-scale and independent projects, building brands and creative systems for influential individuals and businesses. His experience spans creative direction, fashion design, art direction, project management, branding, marketing strategy, web design, and styling. He has also project-managed and led creative initiatives for retail spaces such as Circular Gallery, overseeing everything from marketing and design to sourcing and event curation.
While his foundation is in fashion, Julian’s work extends beyond clothing. He approaches every project as a system—balancing visual language, narrative, and execution to create work that feels intentional and enduring.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, with deep family roots in Colombia, Julian’s perspective is shaped by cultural duality. In 2023, he attended Colombia Fashion Week, participating in the Vogue Talents space—further grounding his work within a global fashion dialogue.
Today, Julian operates across disciplines, building brands, directing visuals, and shaping ideas with clarity, restraint, and purpose.
CORE MEMORIES THAT HAVE GUIDED JULIAN'S VISION
"At the time.. i was probably about 22/23, walking into the Louis Vuitton runway show (my first runway show ever). It was strange for me, i would look to my right and see Ye, Kim, North, Pharrell... look to my left and see Futura, Jerry Lorenzo.. these are all individuals i admire and look up to creatively, on top of that, Virgil had just passed a few days before the show so i was shook but honored that i got to see one of his last collections being displayed live, it shifted my reality."

ABOUT ↓
Julian’s Studio is a multidisciplinary creative practice.
Built on a foundation of fashion, the studio operates across design, direction, and execution—approaching every project as a system rather than a single outcome.
The work moves between brand identity, visual language, physical product, and digital presence. Each project is shaped through research, restraint, and an understanding that clarity is the result of deliberate choices.
Julian’s Studio collaborates with individuals, brands, and cultural spaces seeking work that feels considered, consistent, and lasting.
